Motion Library, 2000
Yvonne Fontijne started developing a motion library in collaboration
with Motek Motion Technology. A library being created to access and
use all possible human motions, registered in 3D coordinates.
The first series is based on walking
120 different walks are registered based on the different positions of the body parts
Two steps are taken from these walks to create a loop

Overview from computeranimation ‘Natural Walk’
|
‘Natural Walk’ consists out of the first movements being captured for
the library. Each sequence is based on isolating one of the body parts.
While continuously walking at the same speed the various positions of
the feet, knees, hips, chest, shoulders, elbows, hands and head are being
registered. By blending all these sequences together every combination
can be obtained.
Entire length 1 hour
30 seconds each motion
